CONSULTING PROJECTS:
I have built several major applications including programs that;
1. Track maintenance calls for users that are having computer hardware
problems (Call Tracking System). This program was integrated into a web Intranet
site and was used by 65 branch locations. The database was an ODBC connection to an ORACLE database.
2. Track new assets that were being purchased and installed throughout the
state of California by Pacific Bell. Total volume of assets tracked was in
excess of 80,000 separate components
3. Point-and-Click Report generating program for end-users. This program
allows department managers to create reports in Access without needing to know
how to use Access
4. Enterprise Reporting System. I worked as the senior Access programmer
on a team of six. We developed a reporting system that combined data from two
AS400 computers and stored the data in an ORACLE data-warehouse. I developed the GUI interface, report templates, security, data integration and revision control modules.
5. Tied together an Access database and the web using ASP, ADO, XML and
CSS. This database is used to collect information from customers and to make
that information available to all company departments in order to provide a
project quote for services that the customer is requesting.
6. Tied together a web site that provided marketing information. This site
is state-of-the-art. It uses Exchange 2000, SQL Server 2000 and Outlook 2000 and Digital Dashboards.
