I am graduate a Engineer REC Jaipur. This is one Of the most reputed institutes in India
I have been doing remote work since the 2006. I have worked with Website maintenance, Software maintenance and upgrade since 1999.I consider myself an expert in VB .I have maintained many software for engineering ,Astrology ,finance in VB.
My latest work was maintenance of a Access based VBA program. Apart from VBA and VB6 I have worked with C, C++, VC++ ,ASP, ASP.net. In databases my experience ranges from SQL Server, MYSQL,GUPTA SQL and Access
Now I am working on an MMPI COM Component.

This is US based Remote work from 2006 onwards.
It is into manufacturing business with sales and purchase of torque converter parts.
They had MS Access base reports that could be printed. with no way to email them to their sales reps.
I converted each of their most wanted reports to Automatically generated as HTML
and sent to the email addresses of respective clients.
I was amused to learn that how the VMFG had so many innovative reports to analyze sales and purchase activities.

This was my introduction to financial domain in 2004.This was my introduction to SQL and Queries also.
Pulimoottil Investments is a private Gold mortgage company which had an application to.
manage their yearly income tax reports .The app they had was Dos based Foxpro system
An upgrading to windows based Visual Interface was required. Learnt about accounting practices In India and concepts like Trial balance, General ledger etc.
I joined the 3 member team doing this in 2004. Left them In 2005

News letter Management software:
2002 June-2004 May(Freelancing)
Rays of Love Ministry is a Christian preaching ministry in Bangalore.
They had a list of people, who they would send a monthly news letter.
They wanted a software, which would generate personalized messages.
(Like using the clients name in between a precompiled message. )
They wanted the message to remain same, but be addressed to different people.
When this proposal for software was made, the only option they had was to change the names manually on a word document and send to their 5000 clients.
This consumed a lot of man hours.
I developed the software to do this work. I learnt a lot about printers with this application.
HTPL to Pdf converter:
2001 March-2002 May( Geovision,Jaipur)
HTPL is a scripting language that is used to create astrological reports by Geovison software (one of my previous employers).
They Wanted to send these reports to their customers as email attachments. But HTPL was a language designed by the company to use with their application "Prashalight".
It would generate only printed reports. There is no other commercial application that would open HTPL document. The company had tried making word document By parsing HTPL ,which was not successful.
So they, required an alternative, and a pdf document From HTPL was suggested.
My Responsibility:
I wrote the code to C++ , that would take HTPL code as string and give PDF document as output. A pdf API library inc C language was made available. I developed and maintained this software for over an Year.
I was also responsible for bug fixing in some of their other DCOMs .Also
I wrote the code to make their software Shri Muhurtha to generate reports in HINDI and Dutch.
I had also initiated the process of converting there GUIs to be shown in more that one language.
(Like the button captions error messages and Text boxes taking inputs in languages other than English.)
I consider this experience very valuable as I was introduced to how exactly most of the Windows base apps like word work. And how these documents can be opened by any word software anywhere in the world. Or rather the inside nuts bolts of a normal windows word processor.

Conclusion
Over the past 10 years I have gained much confidence in my ability code neatly, quickly, and with clear logic. Also I learnt how to evolve Software application through discussions , consultations and documentations.
Apart from coding I learnt to track and fix Bugs in Applications. I and have reached a level where I Find that every bug can be fixed if, I am patient.
