starting programming in early 1980's on the Apple II, & IBM 8086.
In the early to mid 1990's I was mainly developing for transport & customs related businesses, companies such as TNT Express Worldwide, DHL. on both desktop & large super computers. languages used were mainly assembler, c, c++, pascal, rexx....C
in the late 1990's i found myself working for the telecom industry, developing systems to move voice/data over cell & satellite - companies such as Ericsson, Orbital, Bell Canada. Languages most often used were Delphi, C++, C, Java
In the past 3 years (200-2003), I have been working for myself, developing various consumer applications, and doing contract apps. Everything from custom Webservers, SMTP Servers, CD/DVD Burner software, Audio/Music editors.... again, languages mainly used have been Delphi, C++, Assembler and Java.
Samples of my work are available upon request - including coding examples, documentation, uml diagrams....
## Area of Expertise
Above all, I would have to say Windows has been a focus for me in the last 3-4 years. For the most part, language doesnt really matter as they all are a means to an ends, but i do consider myself expert in Delphi and Visual C++.
I've done quite abit with DSP and signal processing, networking - both high level and low level transport...
