I also have the experience of supporting six specialised client line of business packages that Brinks has out in the field. There is not a software package I can't learn very quickly and communicate very succinctly to others. Project management- My experience includes the ability to plan, organise, develop, implement and monitor complex projects and interface effectively at all levels. Personal dedication to producing timely, cost-effective results. Teaching and Presentation skills- At The Learning Curve- organized and presented training plans to over 100 individuals and 30 large companies. At the Collegiate- presented class material to student groups of 25 using British CXC curriculum. Through my participation in an international speaking club, Toastmasters, I have had the opportunity to structure and present over 100 speeches and have developed and presented numerous workshops for many groups, large and small. I have competed in advanced contests and have been successful. I have also training and judged others competitively upon many occasions. While employed at Abbott Laboratories, I was the training coordinator for the Materials organisation. A large percentage of my time was spent designing and presenting training packages to upper management, as well as the entire Materials organization. At Brink's Incorporated, I had the opportunity of training users out in the field, in person and on the telephone, that have limited background in the use of computers. I have set up trade show events at a previous position for an individual business owner and represented businesses at community council affairs. I studied theater at Casa Manana for 7 years and early in my career, before pursuing and completing a management degree, was a theater major, and enjoyed performing for large groups of people. Excellent communication and "people" skills- Because of my wide background, I have the ability to immediately establish a positive rapport with all kinds of people. I am a "people" person with a positive attitude! This is one of the areas that I really excel in. At Brink's Incorporated, I had to provide 24-hour field support for multiple product lines. Dealing with a variety of users on the telephone, at all hours, which have different comfort levels and attitudes, required me to exercise a great deal of patience and concern for the customer. People in the field like me and trust me. The customer is number one to me. I go above and beyond the call of duty to please the customer. This is of key importance in today's environment. A person can be very astute technically, but if the individual does not possess the "soft" skills necessary, he is of less value in a business environment. Documentation skills- At Brink's Incorporated, developed and provided written instructions to the field sites on a variety of issues. Documented internal IS technical support procedures and trained new employees on these procedures and monitored to assure desired results. At Abbott, was responsible for successful achievement of ISO certification, through proper documentation. Management- Managed all facets of my own business including hiring and supervising employees. While at Brinks, I trained and supervised MIS help group. International exposure- Traveled 3 times to Europe and lived in Milan and Rome for 2 months to design and install high end customized financial Access database for Italian client and his staff. During my 6 years of living in the Caribbean I have worked privately with many European clients in the design of specialized training programs to meet their computing needs.
