A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a deep learning technique, more commonly applied to analyse visual imagery. The CNN models are pretty powerful Deep Learning models and by transforming time-series data into a regression problem can allow us to use CNN on a time-series problem.

My conclusion for the data I was working with was that the particular data structuring approach wouldn't work well with CNN, but it is an interesting exercise for anyone interested to learn from my experiment.

Working with RB's CMI team in Germany. This role introduced me to more traditional business analytics and reporting data from sources such as Nielsen, IQVIA, and GFK. While I provide insights that shape the strategic path for brands in personal care and OTC, I also build develop deep learning trigger models for the German cold & flu market. Being the only data scientist in my team challenges me to make sure that I manage all the stakeholders involved motivated and satisfied with the models.
