I just need a bit of help setting up a site to site VPN on a Linksys LRT214 to another Linksys LRT214 VPN Router.
We're in need of a managed router solution for our customers. We're an ISP and we would like the ability to use an existing home or business CPE router. Ie Cisco, Linksys, Belkin, Netgear. We would like to rewrite it's firmware so that we may control various options remotely. We would like to be able to fully configure router remotely from a remote control panel. We need to be able to change SSID, Wep Key, Lan and Wan settings etc. in addition we would like to be able to set a router to AP mode or repeater mode. I know that there are firmware rewrites out there (tomato, ddwrt, etc) but I am not aware of any that will give you the ability to change programming options remotely through a control panel. 1- I'd like to have 2 ports (1 and 2) with default configuration (Internet access), and the other 2 ports (3 and 4) redirected to a Hotspot. 2. Add wifi interface redirected to the Hotspot too. 3. Configure the freeradius and coovachilli to control connection time, bandwidth etc... 4. Run every thing in the same router, no external backend and radius server will be used. Already installed packages under openwrt: - Mysql server and freeradius server are already installed under openwrt and working correctely i.e freeradius can talk to the mysql db for authentication. Coovachilli is also installed but not configured. The failsafe wifi inerface is configured to allow access to the router in case the switch will be misconfigured.

Hello! I am using a Linksys E3000 WiFi router at home with the "Tomato v1.28 by Shibby" firmware installed (alternative Linux-based firmware). I need help to create a script to run on this router to synchronize folders (a folder in the USB Disk attached to the router and a folder over the internet -OneDrive from Microsoft, UNC-). This script will be scheduled to be executed every 30min (function already available in the firmware). I believe that some specific synchronization tool should be also installed first on the router, such as "Free File Sync" (no idea if it is possible, and no idea about how do it). The goal is avoid to use an another device (PC, ..) to do it when connected to the network, if the router can do it "online".

I am replacing old Linksys routers and accesspoints with Mikrotik equipment. I have one 750UP that connects via PPPoE to an ADSL modem. This is on my LAN as (). The 750UP can be the CAPsMAN.
