I'm a volunteer at [login to view URL] County [login to view URL] , Goshen, IN. Our clubhouse is a community where people who have a persistent mental illness can come to rebuild their lives. We offer support for education, or for returning to the workforce through a variety of entry-level positions. We are open 9-5 M-F, visitors welcome. We are a member of Clubhouse Indiana, and accredited by Clubhouse International. I joined the clubhouse in December 2016 after recovering from injuries sustained in an automobile accident last August after I had overdosed on my opioids after fourteen years of chronic illness and pain diagnosed in 2012 as uveitis secondary to ankylosing spondylitis and opioids induced mood disorder. I'm responsible for surveying 4 to 6 2 page newsletters for the years 2012-2017 to date, selecting highlights for each year, rewriting the essence of the highlight to reflect its importance to our clubhouse, our 400 members and the donors who helped establishing the clubhouse and continuing to support our members and programs. I'm looking for someone who has a promotional writing experience. Those highlights will then be published in a four page 5 year anniversary edition to be distributed at our celebration at the clubhouse in mid-June 2017. The four page anniversary edition will be heavy on pictures and light on text and will target the donors who helped establish the clubhouse and who've continued to support our members. I have a 48 year career in direct marketing and fundraising and hope to use the anniversary edition to solicit grants for the clubhouse. I volunteer every Thursday from 10 to 3, interview members for future articles in our two page newsletter published 4 to 6 x a year. When I joined they were looking for a member to volunteer and help with research, writing, editing, etc. I contributed to our annual report and the current newsletter. I'm looking for someone with a heart for our mission and members. This has the potential of selecting someone after the anniversary in June to help me with writing blog articles, articles for our newsletters the balance of this year, helping me with developing communications for target publics for example those companies who hire our members and use it to thank them and recruit new employers to expand our job, housing etc. outreach programs. I will provide digital (.pdf files) copies of each of the newsletters and the format for the four page 11x17 anniversary edition. Ideal turn around for rough draft ten days from acceptance of initial project. I will be available to the individual selected by phone, email, skype etc. I'm attaching the format for the anniversary issue and the February-March issue of our 2 page newsletter.
