I actually just did one of these today with a cert purchased from digicert. While we attached it to the listeners, the ssl config is also available for upload to yhe app gateway. Once you bind it, the change should be immediate. There are a ton of MS articles that show the process pretty clearly. Of course I would be happy to assist. Robert

Brief Solution To set up a SSL wildcard certificate on your Azure Application Gateway, you can follow these steps: Save the SSL certificate in Key Vault. a. Create a new secret in Key Vault. b. Select the PKCS12 format. c. Upload a PEM file containing the private key, certificate, root CA, and intermediate certificates. d. Set the name of the secret to ssl-certificate. Apply the certificate to the Application Gateway. a. Open the Azure portal. b. Navigate to your Application Gateway. c. Click the Listeners tab. d. Click the name of the listener that you want to apply the certificate to. e. Click the SSL tab. f. Under Certificate, select the ssl-certificate secret from Key Vault. g. Click Save.
