Automated DVD player with scheduler

I am an electronics tech. We are servicing multiple prisons and hospitals that require in house channels that play dvds for entertainment. I need a software that will allow a scheduling platform to play multiple dvds at different times of the day/night also allow files to play that are loaded by the user (safety videos etc). The dvds need to play without credits and go directly to the movie. What we are using is a desktop PC with 4 disc drives. I believe they were using VLC media player which is a free download and is open source. The system has a scheduler built in and allows the user to choose which drive to play at what time. It also allows the user to select video files on the hard drive or a USB thumb drive. The PC has two monitor outputs one is VGA and the other HDMI. I use the VGA monitor for setting up the schedule and drives. The HDMI output goes into an RF modulator that broadcasts to the facility without the setup screen broadcasted. In between scheduled events there is a slide show running and a counter on the bottom showing when the next video starts. We would like to build the machines here. The software's interface should be user friendly and allow a custom skin with our logo. Also the player needs to play both standard DVD and Blu-ray. The DVD’s need to skip the intro and when finished go to the next scheduled event Also would be nice if a loop feature could be added for short videos and play the loop inside a scheduled time frame.
