Automate the changing of a hd volume number. Needs to be unique on each running of the program. I need a program made that I could basically double click and it would change the volume number. Ideally it would also save the new volume number to a .txt file on the Desktop. Changing the number does require a reboot, which the program could also force. It has to be done anyway. This project needs to run on windows xp, and windows 7. I have a link to an open source program you may be able to use as the foundation of your program.

hello there ^^ I'm delphi coder actually I used to deal with simillar stuffs just like the one you have mentioned ^^ regarding to your project we can easily achieve this by using direct Assembly codes witin our application which does not require reboot or anything else where other stuffs are too easy in delphi ^^ anyway just give me the green light and I will do my best ^^ best regards

Hi, let me know if I understood.. You want an app to increase the volumen in 1 unit when you double click it? Or set a specific volume number? Then the new value will be saved in a text file, to change the volume number the computer must be restarted, so the program must reboot the computer yes or yes, I can code it for you but please clear me these doubts, thanks

Hello! It's a simple task, but I need to make sure I understand what you mean by volume number. Can you show me a screenshot of the volume number being changed manually? Uniqueness can be achieved by using a random number and saving it to the desktop in .txt is a trivial task. I can deliver an executable in less than 24h.
