You have selected one of the most pressing matters in today's world. We are currently facing a totally different age, in terms of the introduction of new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, and completely distinct perspectives from which to see life. Humans have been starting to interact in considerably diverse ways with reality, and so, education, and especially basic education, which involves new generations, is probably facing its biggest challenge in history. Is it feasible that the structure of our system continues to be the same as it was about two centuries ago? How does this way of designing things responds to the demands of the 21th century? The World Economic Forum has recently published a report of the 15 most important human skills required in the companies of the future. They all go from creative thinking to innovation. Is our educational system, at the basic level, the right one for the laboral overview of tomorrow? Is it possible to modify it in a way where it turns to be sufficiently dynamic so that students can learn by addressing real life problems locally, from an international look, and closely interacting with citizens and the business sector for their learning to be measured not only by their ability to memorize, but by the real impact they have in the world? A system that is constantly dialoguing with a society that is always evolving and becoming different.
