Hello there, I have read your project description and I could help you with that, I can propose NUC140LC1CN MCU that already has CAN bus and USB protocols, that way we can minimize the use of components. I'm an EE of 25 years in Austin, TX with a history in scientific instrumentation doing primarily hardware. My design partner has 20 years experience and does embedded programming. This is a project we can do for you. I think we'd need a couple days for a schematic. Programming can start when the schematic is over. A few more days for a layout. A week to get boards and parts in. A couple days to populate it and bring it up, troubleshoot if needed, and verify. I have OrCAD, PADS, DXDesigner, Eagle, and KiCAD. I can gain access to Altium if needed.

Hi, I have worked extensively in designing devices which works on CAN bus. I Have already done a similar project using STM32 MCU and MCP2551 CAN transceiver. I will be able to interface your the hardware to the software over USB either by using custom drive or USB HID or USB CDC depending on your requirements. I have good experience in working with PIC and ARM microcontrollers. I have worked on many CAN based projects in my previous company. Most of the projects were related to OBDII diagnostics. Also I have done many CAN based projects for my masters degree. And I have a very good experience in Vector CANoe tool. From the project description I understand that you are trying to design a CAN to USB device and you already have a design. Actually I have already have a design for CAN to USB device which I was using for testing my works. It uses PIC32MX controller and uses USB CDC (also can be changed to serial via USB). The USB protocol can be modified according your WIN10 application design. Also bootloader can be implemented if you need to update the firmware. But I don't have a PCB designed, it is working on a SnadPIC development board. Please share more information about your work . I am interested in your project. Looking forward to work with you.
