I'm in the process of designing a very simple PCB. The only thing I have left to do is to implement UART for serial communication between the PCB (with a PAN1740 BLE module) and a smartphone. I need someone who can first explain to me the process behind using the PAN1740 on a PCB. Do I need to program it before soldering it onto the board? If so, how do I program it? Can you help me do this? I'm inexperienced with BLE in general, but I have a good grasp on everything else. I have a working prototype using the Adafruit UART Friend. Ultimately, I need someone to give me advice on how to bring the BLE portion of my prototype to the production board. I'm not sure how much of a response I'll get, so I'm not posting the full details.
