You have 3 geometries done in SpaceClaim and you want to transition to Ansys Mechanical and do a buckling analysis and a static analysis compression of the bars, correct? If you do a buckling analysis it will tell you what is the critical load for the geometry, loads and boundary conditions you have. Then you want to parametrize the compression load to achieve the same correct lateral displacement as in your test. For the residual stress we will need to know the initial load and boundary conditions. Then we can restart the static or buckling analysis after this initial step.
