hi, I have done same work in my last project. I used itext library for this project. Framework was simple spring. The architecture flow would be like: Struts(Controller) --> Spring based service ------ DAO (For getting data from DB) call i text utility to generate pdf -- > write it to Http response or write it to server to be sent as mail attachment.
