Hello, I have clearly understood that well explained doc and img to replace mechanical in to electronic speedometer + odometer. This project can be done using either arduino or standalone PIC/AVR microcontroller what ever u like most. I have good knowledge on c programming to program either chip well. maybe use a coin cell(real time clock for add time display as a extension) to keep module on for few seconds after power key off. in that way we can write eeprom and if no signal input in mcu can go to sleep mode to save power if u like. as a addition to this I can design u a all in one pcb to make everything arrange proper which looks solid to fit in your case. looking forward to hear from u soon and we can discuss more to make this project the best.
