But it takes little more time because building the game with node js and socket io needs a new approach. Cloud is best if your application scaling is important to you like millions of requests and the cost of cloud hosting like Amazon is dependent on the scale of the application. 1. I would suggest that start with vps and as your application is scaling rapidly then migrate it to the AWS. 2. Absolutely true , the server in node js and socket io is best for your project because socket io is the best framework built-in on top of webrtc n js. 3. We can use multiple node servers and manage them very easily in case of millions of requests and that is where the name came from the node . It can a node in the architecture and we can build a backend architecture with connected nodes. 4. My SQL is more than sufficient for your project and there Is no need to add extra complexity by adding the AWS RDS. 5. If you have budget for hosting of project in cloud platforms starting right from beginning is good but a vps is a good option if there is budget constraints involved and for small to medium scale application a vps can suffice the requirements of the project.
