HELP - Editing needed for Daughter's Sr. Pictures

I am a busy mom of a High School Senior.... need I say more? :) HELP!!! Have taken pictures of my daughter with my Nikon D40 and for the most part the pictures are good, but there are a few shadows that I would like to see edited out and various other improvements to the pictures, and I simply don't have the time to tweak with them and learn enough about Photoshop or GIMP to be able to do this in a timely fashion. I would like to select about 10 pictures to send to someone to edit. Additionally, I would like to have these photos edited and returned to me within 24 hours, as we are in a time crunch to have them submitted to her school. I welcome any advice or suggestions.
