SIMPLE DESKTOP XMLHTTP

I need to convert this XMLHTTP script ( see below ) so it will run on my desktop. currently, you can only run this on an ASP server. i would like to open internet explorer or opera version 8 and type on the url C:\Documents and Settings\webcpsos\Desktop\desktopxml\[login to view URL] and the script below will run. in general, id like the script below to run independednt of an ASP server. it will run locally. you can write on visual basic or java. but keep in mind the way i will run is by typing in C:\Documents and Settings\webcpsos\Desktop\desktopxml\[login to view URL] on the internet browser or opera browser ====================================== GotothisURL = "<[login to view URL]>" Set GetConnection = CreateObject("[login to view URL]") [login to view URL] "get", GotothisURL, False [login to view URL] ResponsePage = [login to view URL] strHTML=ResponsePage Set GetConnection = Nothing [login to view URL] strHTML =========================================== ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
