CTRL+ALT+DEL Simulation

I am trying to simulate a CTRL+ALT+DEL in Windows NT / 2000 / XP. So far I have worked out how to use the PostMessage API in such a way as to simulate the CTRL+ALT+DEL, but it is actually showing the Start > Run dialog. I have spoken to a research team at Cambridge University, and they said I should use the SetThreadDesktop to target the "Winlogon" desktop. After that, the PostMessage API should be able to raise the CTRL+ALT+DEL event, causing the Logon Dialog to be displayed, etc. This is alot more complex than just locking a workstation, we are actually manipulating Winlogon here. For those of you confused about why I would want to do this, check out WinVNC (just type WinVNC in Google). WinVNC is a remote administration software package that allows you to view a remote desktop. The reason I need to send CTRL+ALT+DEL is to get rid of the "Press CTRL+ALT+DEL" dialog when the program connects. The program will be running in the background as a service, and will connected to via Winsock. Please note: WinVNC already contains the EXACT code I want, but it is writen in MS C++. *** It is open source and free for you to download! *** I need to be able to access the code in VB6. I'm not fussed if you rip the code out of WinVNC and make a DLL I can call, or if you recode the code to work in VB. Just as long as the procedure can be called simply and efficiantly I will be happy. PS: I have attached some code I wrote but can't get to work. If you can fix it that will also count as a completed job! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Microsoft Windows NT4.0 / 2000 / XP and all Microsoft NT based variants (XP Home, XP Pro, XP64 etc). Obviously this will not work on Windows 9x based kernels.
