Seattle based [Curious Office][1] is working on an innovative new consumer platform that will allow people to build online art communities and buy or sell custom art products. We're funded and working on a very interesting consumer application. It will appeal to digital photographers and artists and consumers looking for a new way to buy and sell "content products". The project is exiting its initial planning phase and we now require development leadership to work alongside the one dev we have now. We have aggressive plans and launch date and need a developer or developer team who has enough experience to not only code through serious challenging tasks but also help us prioritize the roadmap. We've got the specs. We need someone like you who isn't afraid to take down big problems. There will be plenty of things to work on including backend admin, integration with third party systems (banking, shipping etc.) In this case, there is also a lot of tricky image handling and client side presentation work that has to be addressed. Our basic system will work a lot like any other online art store such as [Fulcrum Gallery][2] We also wish to build in the ability for people to open their own galleries, in much the same way that people can open their own private stores on [Cafe Press][3] The client side needs to be built, as done the backend admin. Our environment: * ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) * Object oriented design and n-tier architecture * CSS and XHTML standards-based web design * SQL Server design Besides being very familiar with ASP.NET 2.0 environment, it would be great if you had some punchy DHTML/javascript/AJAX skills too. For this deployment, those skills will come in handy from time to time. STRONGLY PREFER EXPERT ASP.NET / C## programmers and in particular those who are Microsoft certified. Please DO NOT apply if you do not fit this requirement. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
