You have a lot of bidders here who apparently didn't read the description or don't know Virtuemart. Virtuemart doesn't work on Joomla 3 yet and won't for a while. So your choice is to upgrade to Joomla 2.5.14 and Virtuemart or switch to a different e-commerce package. Happy to work with you on either; I have one that just got started, who decided he didn't really like Virtuemart and we're moving to either MijaShop or Hikashop, both rated much higher than VirtueMart at extensions.joomla.org. Joomla 3.1 has a lot of nice features but likely they aren't critical for most sites. Virtuemart has two huge advantages: it's working for you and is very popular so there's loads of outside support. Don't underestimate either. Upgrading only to 2.5 may be your best choice. I've done several migrations from 1.5 and am a fairly good programmer. I've used Joomla since 2008. I should be able to do a good job for you. I do all my own work except when there's a particular skill I don't have.
