Garage Sale Finder

I want to expand my current site, which has very limited functionality because of my lack of programming knowledge. Right now it only covers 5 cities in my region. I'd like to take it national. I've got a great domain name and I know marketing. (income to be generated by advertising) Site: [login to view URL] My site combines user-entered data with info gleaned from other sources to map garage sales. Output is a local google map with associated data. (see attachment) It's really slow this time of year, so it's a good time for development. Locally, in the summer there are usually a few hundred sales in my region. The users of my site are SELLERS (who want to list their garage sale) and BUYERS (who want to use the maps). Functions I'd like added: SELLER registration, with security (captcha, email verification). They can then enter the sale-specific data (dates, times, address, neighborhood, description, etc.) BUYER: Choice of geographic area. (by state, then city). Needs to only show dates that have not passed and be limited by day or date range. Then the ability to search text of listings in that geographic area for keywords and identify which sales they'd like to print data for. Or at the very least to only print the data for the sales that match the icons currently shown in the map. I'd also like the markers to be numbered so that they match the data. I know how to make it look good and am fairly adept at CSS (not wonderful, but reasonably skilled), but my programming skills leave a lot to be desired. My biggest problem has been calling the data... I have each of the 5 cities in it's own directories calling on a manually-created php script to pull up the map data (one for each city for each day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Clunky and limiting, but not bad for someone who's never programmed anything in php before. Some of my competitors are: [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] -- none of these sites works really well, either they show every sale that has ever been in their database, even if they're a year old, or the maps don't print well (text over background images, etc).
