Hi, a programmer did a photo album script for me but am not happy with it as it only allows 5 photos per upload and also, it does not work the way I want.
Current Programmer says it cannot be done, but I've spoken to some others and they say it is doable. Right now, after user clicks files to upload into the gallery and clicks submit, there is no "report" to update when each file is uploaded and the pre-assigned space left after the upload.
Only after all 5 files are uploaded, then user has to go back to files listing to see space left. 5 files each time is too slow. If I need to upload 100 images, it will take forever.
Post me message and I'll show you the url to existing web-album which has been uploaded to server.
Pls suggest if this is possible and how much? Project is urgent and please limit the fee, as this is only an improvement to existing script. Good ratings will be given. Thanks!
1) If doing a upload, will let users chooses the list of files from the normal windows file selection screen...like when we open or save file. Which is what you have but for 1 file only. Make this, say 5 files or 10 files or even 50 files.
2) All the chosen files will go into a list box....which JSP definitely has.
3) User clicks Button "Start Upload".
4) A loop will start and go to the first file in the list box and FTP to the server.
5) As each file is uploaded from the list, there will be a text box that indicate "1 of 10 files uploaded" and keep on refreshing, also, the disk space left will also be refreshed.
This way user will not think it has hung and disk space left can be calculated after each file.
