Moorcroft Pottery is a unique type of art pottery which has been produced for over 100 years and is still being produced today. It is highly collectable, with 1000’s of collectors all over the world. 1.? ? ? ? Overview of requirements There are many different designs of Moorcroft Pottery, and there are also many different shapes of each particular design.? The database will contain ‘retail’ pricing information. This is the list price (in Pounds Sterling) of the item for a particular year.? Each year retail prices are changed, and therefore the system must hold price by design/shape/year. The database will also hold ‘secondary market’ prices, these are the second-hand prices that I have collected over a period of time (from public auction, private sales and ebay auctions).? For each price, the system will hold the date of the sale, details of the sale and the quality of the item sold (there are 2 qualities ??" “1st?? or “2nd??). There needs to be a flexible search mechanism, allowing search by name (there can be multiple names for each item), or by designer, or by shape/size, or by year, or by filtering on “Limited Edition?? or “Numbered Edition?? releases (see the sample data for more information on this).? ? All searches should be a partial search. The search will display a set of matching results, from this list an individual item can be selected and then full details will be shown for that item.? (e.g notes, pictures, retail and secondary market prices. Users will subscribe to the web site service, by registering their name and email address, payment needs to be taken on-line ( I have a paypal account and so payment could be made into this account directly).? ?
