I am a firearms and accessory dealer.? I previously hired a coder who developed (in PERL) a script that would create a database combined from two different online distributors that I use.? The script then uses this database to list these items that are in stock at my distributors on an online auction site (not ebay).? Read further for a complete description of what I need.
## Deliverables
What I want:
- Right now there are erroneous listings happening because the whole thing keys off the manufacturer's item number of the product, which is listed on both distributors websites.? In theory, they should be the same number.? In reality, they aren't.? For example, a $100 shotgun may have an item number from the manufacturer of "XYZ123", and another $1000 shotgun from another company might have the exact same item number.? So I'm listing a few (not many) auctions for that $1000 shotgun, with a price on it of $100.?
- There is a third distributor I would like to incorporate into the scheme.? I wouldn't mind dropping one of the two I already have to include this third one.? The third one is the only one so far that will allow me to drop-ship non-firearm accessories.? They post daily a text file on their site with their current "in-stock" inventory with current pricing, as well as maintain an online database.? The text file they post obviously doesn't have pictures.? A sample is attached to this project for reference.? The only trick to this one would be to associate the text file item numbers with the correct picture.
- BONUS:? If you provide a satisfactory product on the above, I would like to offer a bonus project at the end of this to help maintain an online store I have that is based in oscommerce.? This is optional, and only if you want the hassle of dealing with it.
