ToDo-List Application / Task-Manager A Database-Application with a Web-Frontend. There are Clients, Objects and Tasks. - Every Client owns one or more Objects - Every Objects contains a list of (Service-)Tasks, that have to be complied repeatedly on it. - The application shall give an overview of the pending tasks and the possibility to mark them as "done". Imagine a car-pool... There are some clients having their cars managed with it... Each of them has one or more cars ("Objects") managed in the car-pool. You offer them for every car: oil-check once a week, check of tire-pressure every two days, and a car wash once a month. The services - and the frequency may be individually agreed for every car. There shall be a PC in the garage with a big screen (running a web-browser)... showing up all pending service-taks to the mechanics. (refreshing somehow) When a mechanics did one of the jobs, he can confirm this with just a mouse-click ("ok/done") or even with an optional comment. ("pumped up spare wheel") A "cron"-job will refill the task-list once a day according to the schedules that are agreed for every task for every object. There also is some kind of log for every car... telling when a service has been complied and showing up an eventually comment. It shall also be possible to enter a log-entry manually out of the schedule for a specific car. ("noticed that large scratch on left door) some basic action shall be taken to assign a tecnician with a task. (just to know, who did it.) Via a Web-frontend, it shall be possible to edit client/object/task - data and make the necessary assignments. (what services for what car in what schedule) You are absolutely free to choose programming-language/framework or whatever. We will prepare you a VPS how you want (well: how we agree;) But the code should be somehow self-commenting and allow us to easily add more database-fields or other little features. We do not use Windoze!!!
