Unix shell script convert to Perl

Hello, I'm in urgent need of a conversion of a Unix shell script to Perl program. Perl must run on Windows or Unix system. If you stick with regular Perl [login to view URL] it should port over ok. The attached zip file has the shell program, java program and the reports it generates. Coder must be very knowledgable about unix shell scripts and Perl programming. **_Overall this is a fairly simple project for someone who knows both pretty well. _** What the shell script does now is take a parm of a directory where some source code is, count lines of code for each source code program (that's what the java prog does), the script takes the counts and creates a report for each file extention, then created a complete report for all programs in the directory. You can run this now with the attached zip files to see how it works and how the reports are generated. !-->The Perl program just needs to do what the shell script does. You can code the Perl as you see fit, as long as the reports are the same and variables are used for prog and pathname. (see the shell script, you'll see what I mean). Deliverables are: 1)completed working Perl program per the specs. above, 2) directions on how to compile and run. Thats it. Also need this tonight!!!
