Simple edit to Wordpress Plugin

I need a duplicate copy of a Wordpess Plugin made with a minor edit. I need the Search button target to be set to open to a new tab. To clarify, for the duplicate version of the plugin, when the search button is pressed, the results should appear in a new window. I need to continue using the existing version which displays the search results in the same tab, so a new short code may be needed.
