I need a portable piece of ASP code that will reside on a number of Web pages, that, when clicked on by the user, will open an email editor screen for composition and then post the message via SMTP as well as post the message into a pre-defined database.
The ASP code should allow for at least four parameters to be passed from the original link (ToEmailAddress, FromEmailAddress, ContextID, and RecordID), three of which will be hard coded on the original page, one of which will be part of the database results on the originating page.
The editor screen should allow the user to add numerous recipients to the TO, CC, and BCC fields.
The FROM field should contain the FromEmailAddress by default, but can be switched to the logged in user (we have code already to determine the logged in user.)
The code would automatically create a text tag from the ContextID and RecordID parameters and place this text at the end of the subject line and on a separate line at the end of the message text.
The code should add a signature to each message based upon the FROM address. This signature will be stored in an single field of an existing SQL table.
Upon pressing the "post" button the email should be sent via SMTP and posted to a pre-existing MSSQL table.
