programatic selection of tabbed browser pages

The purpose of this bid request is to create a non-visual Delphi application that will find and re-display an already running browser with a specific URL. NOTE: A new zip file has been uploaded with improved stub code. Please download the latest ZIP file. The application will receive 3 parameters: paramstr(1) will hold the executable path of a browser. paramstr(2) will hold the URL target for that browser. paramstr(3) will hold a 1 or 0. 1 means exact match required, nothing or 0 means a partial match is allowed. (partial match means that the found URL may be a sub-page of the paramstr(2) URL) The application will execute the following pseudo-code sequence: (a) loop through running processes finding instances of paramstr(1) browser (b) find each instance of Paramstr(1) and for each instance found do... (c) check to see if the current URL is a match for paramstr(2) (d) if it is a match - bring that instance to focus and exit (e) if no match found, check to see if the browser has tabs. (f) if it has tabs, check through the tabs to find a match to paramstr(2) (g) if a match is found, bring that tab to the top, bring the instance to focus and exit (h) if no match is found for this instance continue the processes loop (i) if processes loop finishes without a match, do ShellExecute of the paramstr(1) with paramstr(2) as argument. The code must work with the three primary tabbed browsers: FireFox, Opera and IE7 as well as the case where either single or multiple instances of a non-tab browser such as IE6 or a tabbed browser with tabbing turned off are running. I will select a coder with most important onsideration given to being able to convince me that he or she can actually do the job. The code MUST compile and run in Delphi 5, however I will be migrating to Delphi2006 soon so proven compatibility with D2006 is a plus. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
