Integrate Google Sign-In into a CakePHP 2.x Web Application

Project Description: We are seeking an experienced web developer with a strong background in PHP and CakePHP 2.x framework to integrate Google Sign-In into our existing web application. Our application currently follows a multi-step flow and uses MVC architecture. The integration must be seamless and maintain the current workflow. Objectives: Google Sign-In Integration: Implement Google Sign-In to allow users to authenticate using their Google accounts. User Redirects: After successful authentication, users should be redirected to the 'typeform11' page as part of our existing workflow. User Data Retrieval: Retrieve and display the user's Google account information including profile picture, email address, and name on the redirected page. Error Handling: Proper error handling to manage authentication failures or other errors. Security: Ensure that the integration adheres to security best practices to protect user data. Specific Tasks: Review the existing CakePHP 2.x application setup. Set up and configure the Google Sign-In mechanism using the client ID and secret obtained from Google Console. Modify existing user authentication processes to incorporate Google OAuth. Ensure the existing login system works in parallel with Google Sign-In. Retrieve user details from Google and display them on the specified redirect page. Implement proper session management to handle user logins and logouts. Provide thorough testing to ensure functionality across different browsers and devices. Deliverables: Fully functional Google Sign-In integration in the existing web application. Source code committed to our version control system. Documentation on the changes made and instructions on how to deploy and maintain the new feature.
