I run a web hosting service and have experience setting up servers from scratch with various applications. I'm working today on a full server setup which will include Odoo, so I'll have the procedure down for your project. I presume this server will also server a regular website. If you're going to manage multiple sites, you may want to install a free control panel, like webmin. If it's just one site, we can get away with not using a panel. Up to you.
