I'm trying to understand how to track In-Page Events on a WordPress website, making these events fire the Facebook Pixel when someone clicks a specific button on specific landing pages of the site. I have installed the Pixel base code with the PixelYourSite Plugin and using the Facebook Pixel Helper I see that the "PageView" event works perfectly on every single page of the site. I understand this means each time the page is "viewed" it is being reported to the associated Facebook account as a "PageView". I also added a "Lead" event that fires when each "Thank You" page is visited (the visitor is redirected to these thank you pages after a contact form is submited from one of the landing pages.) But I would also like to track when a visitor clicks any of the 3 buttons located at the bottom of each of the landing pages (the buttons are "Text" "Email or "Call") or if they click the phone number at the top of the pages. These clicks do not redirect to a thank you page because they initiate a new call, text or email from the visitor's device. Therefore I can not use a thank you page visit to track these clicks as leads. I would like to count any of these clicks as a "lead". Referencing this article I see snippets of code but I'm not exactly sure where to implement these or what exactly to customize within the snippets. [login to view URL]
