Hello, I’m a mechanical engineer with good skills in reading and doing quantities takeoff (Quantity Survey) and creating an estimation of cost and budgeting for nearly most disciplines. I use software such as PDF-Exchange, and VU-360 (Blue Book) for extracting the quantities from plans and using RS Means to estimate the labor, equipment, and materials cost to build the required estimate. Depending of how many dwgs is there. Compiling this shouldn't be very complicated. MTO & BOQ is just basics. To do this you need to understand potential contract terms, payment conditions, milestones, documents that need to be submitted, prior during and after project completion. You need also to understand is there any inspection and testing required, transport conditions? FCA, DAP, EX works? And than you can create schedule :)
