I need to add full RegEx functionality to a script that modifies database values. Essentially, I have a database with several tables. I have already implemented a Python script that "standardizes" the data from these tables and outputs the new values to a duplicate table. table1 table1_reg table2 table2_reg table3 table3_reg (An example of the data standardization would be converting all values of "frlncr" to "Freelancer") The Python script references a .YML file that contains a list of substitutions. (I've included these 2 files in this project description for you to take a look at). The problem is that while the script currently has regex MATCHING capability, there is no functionality for RETURNing any of the regex. For example: (ask\s+)(.+) → thename change to: (ask\s+)(.+) → \2 I just need someone who can add this full regex functionality to the script. I am going with what freelancer suggested me as average bid for this task. However, we can adjust it later once we are on the same page with understanding of requirements. I have couple of questions before taking it up. How many tables do you have? and for how many queries are you expecting the regex functionalities to be added?
