I have done many installation scripts for Ubuntu. Settings up PostgreSQL is easy for me. If you have the installations steps for your app, the price can go down.

Script can't be executed as you mentioned as SSH opens a local shell on the remote machine. You must at least put on the internet and execute a CURL download and execute. Can you better explain your needs with RoR? S
