Salesforce-.NET integration for homeless childcare project

CCA-WA will utilize Salesforce (SF) for its transactional applications. This SF application will be extended to manage families, family members, admissions, housing, etc. A partner region has a SQL database (and .NET application with web services) that must be 1] migrated to the SF application and 2] kept in sync with the SF application. This prototype is to demonstrate 1] the migration of family and family members from SQL to the SF application, and 2] a mechanism to keep the SQL database in bi-directional sync with the SF application. Requirements: 1) Create a SF development environment (ccawaintegration) 2) Create lookup tables: a) FamilyStructure (sample values: ‘Two parents’, ‘Single Female’, ‘Single Male’, ‘Other’) b) PersonRole (sample values: ‘Parent’, ‘Child’) 3) Create 2 objects: a) Family i) FamilyID (unique integer) ii) FamilyName iii) InitialContactName iv) FamilyStructureID (foreign key to lookup table) b) People i) PersonID (unique integer) ii) FamilyID (foreign key to Family) iii) LastName (varchar(50)) iv) FirstName (varchar(50)) v) Birthdate (date) vi) RoleID (foreign key to lookup table) 4) Create Salesforce UI (2 tabs: Family, People) a) Family tab i) Hierarchical list of Families and Family members b) People tab i) List of people 5) Demonstrate and document the import of data from the SQL database to the SF application 6) Demonstrate and document a bi-directional sync between the SF application and the SQL database a) Web services described in doc.
