I need my "Father of the Bride Speech" updated by a fresh set of eyes.

Here's my draft for my speech: Sharon and I would like to welcome all of you today to celebrate the marriage of our daughter Susan to Mike. •I know that many of you have travelled long distances to be here today, thank you. •We have been looking forward to this day not to hand over responsibility for our daughter, but because it’s a proud day for us to see Susan so happy and so much in love. •I have so many fond memories of Susan when she was a little girl. When I came home from work each day, she would always be at the front door to greet me. As she grew older, she would hide from me when I got home from work and I pretended not to see her, although I knew exactly where she was hiding. •Susan has a persevering personality. She learned to ride the bicycle by herself. One day I saw her in our garage trying to ride her bike in circles. After several attempts and a few bruises , she was able to ride successfully without interruption. And that’s how she learned to ride a bike. •In grade school through high school, she took piano lessons from her wonderful piano teacher Sarah Harris. Our summers were spent going to piano competitions throughout the State combined with mini vacations. •In high school, on a whim, she decided to join the Carondolet High School Tennis Team. Since her brother Phillip played tennis in high school, she thought it would also be cool for her to play tennis too.. I wasn’t pleased that she did not make Varsity but Junior Varsity instead. So one day I talked to her and asked if she would practice tennis with me to improve her tennis skills so she could play Varsity. She said “Dad I joined the tennis team so I can socialize with my friends and I have no desire whatsoever to play Varsity. Evidently, the saying is true—girls just want to have fun. •We are very proud of Susan. She continues to pursue her goals in work and education. She is now ready to move into the most important phase of her life being married to Mike. •Let’s talk about Mike. We think he’s a great guy! Mike, maligayang pagdating sa familia! In English it means “Mike, welcome to the family. •I remember the day Mike asked for Susan’s hand. I was busy working on my 240Z in the garage when he approached me. I thought he was gonna ask me to play golf with him, but instead he said, Vic I would like to ask for Susan’s hand. After a very long silence, I looked at him straight in the eye and said, Mike, what took you so long, we’ve been waiting for this for a long time! •Mike, I have one big favor to ask from you: Take good care of my baby girl! •In closing, please join me in a toast to Susan and Mike for a long and happy marriage!
