Hi There,

Welcome to my project and I look forward to working with you.

I can be a pleasure to work with and always work to support and nurture those that work with me. However, some basic rules:

1. I don't respond to generic offers. I just don't have time, it's takes longer to work through them than to complete the task myself.

2. Basic understanding of English is fine, but you should be fluent in this sort of work.

3. I'm going to have drawings issued to the workshop before Monday morning, with or without the support of somebody on freelancer, please keep that in mind when considering bidding or supporting this work, I will leave negative reviews if you waste my time.

4. Happy to receive bids from eastern and western countries at different price points, I've worked in a lot of countries and with plenty of nationalities, but you must bid your price.

5. No Agents or engineering shops, working through a proxy just ain't going to work. Things move quick out here.

6. You'll need to put a bid in and I'll need to know what you need for an hourly rate. Even if you decide to work more hours than your bid covers, that is fine. But depending on your work , I may supplement you with hourly earnings as we move along.

Project Details:

I am looking to design up and issue workshop drawings for a tower to support a centrifuge and foundation to support the tower which we need to pour in the next few days.

I have quickly drafted up something as a first pass (By quickly, I mean 15 mins.), which can be reviewed to at least determine steel section sizes and foundation size.

My work involved a lot of different tasks, so I need a little support to think through and do some design checks.

Note: I don't have details on the centrifuge beyond the drawing for it and that it is sitting on isolation buffers. It's likely about 1.5 tonnes overall weight, spinning at lets assume 5000 RPM. The main concern is that if it becomes unstables, then that vibration will go into the structure, so we need to make it solid enough, and make sure our slab is solid enough.

Note: You are only bidding on Task 1 and Task 2. Essentially engineering review of current design.

Task 1:

Review design as is and select steel section sizes and nominate connection details.

I've nominated 150x6 SHS columns with plenty of bracing, and drawn in 250 UB's for a welded top platform. The idea is to make the top platform stiff and tie it in with the columns with some decent connections creating a large portal type frame.

Plenty of bracing also on all 4 sides.

Steel is all AS standard sizes as it will be fabricated in Australia.

Task 2: Review foundation and determine suitability or provide alternative.

We've dug out a 2.5mx2.5mx500mm deep plinth, though it's currently flooded by rain, so we can extend it within the confines of the current slab outlines if we need more base.

Once the above two tasks are complete, work could extend as follows:

Task 3: Review possible changes to design and layout.

The design provided was prepared very quickly by myself, so there is room to make changes, perhaps even extend the slab overall slab, though, we would need to cut more concrete and excavate more.

After which you could support to complete detailed drafting.

Task 4:

Workshop detailed drawings.

The guys here can weld steel faster than you can draw it, so the situation is that the drawing has to be good enough that you can understand it, then the guys will too. i.e. we are not drawing for a workshop in china. Now if you actually read all of this and understood most of it and have questions for me, then give yourself a pat on the back, you can understand me. To let me know you understood, write in at the end of your bid, the ideal angle of the screw conveyor shown in the drawing attached. If you do this, I will message you, you can ask me any questions you like and I usually award a project to many people as many usually don't come through.

Happy Bidding

Many Thanks

Fred
