My name is Chris Buhse. Last school year I taught 4th grade Math following an American based curriculum at an international school in Colombia. The goal was to prepare the students for the MAP test. I taught topics such as basic operations, operations with fractions, how to read weight scales and to measure heights, read venn diagrams and graphs, and how to use a protractor. I also created engaging activites for the students such as using pizza to understand fractions, have students follow a map according to the coordinates of a graph, draw a picture of themselves according to their height, and puzzles based on the operations.
