I have a website that was old looking but based on simple HTML, CSS, JavaScript, j Query and MySQL database. Had a rebuild done and they made the database unnecessarily complex, and used an MVC when asked specifically to use basic HTML, JavaScript, j Query, simple MySQL, and PHP and that speed was NOT the main objective.
