Microchip PIC GSM terminal controller you must be familiar with microchip PIC and GSM terminals befor you bid for this project 1. The main goal of this project is to create an easy interface for gsm terminals, like Siemens tc35, mc35, mc45,telit 863, telit 864 ect. using a simple serial protocol for controlling the terminal feature. 2. Hardware of this project includes: 1 microchip, few power components and rs232 voltage converter interface (MAX232) 3. This project shall be "man in the middle" between other project and the gsm terminal. 4. Software shall be written in C language using the standard AT COMMANDS (preferred compilers: MIKROC and CCS (but other compilers are also acceptable upon request) 5. Project shall be written for microchip 16f877 or 16f877a (other microchips are also acceptable upon request) 6. Project shall include BIDIRECTIONAL ASCII COMMANDS: 6.1 Commands to the controller: Reset [parameter] - initializing the modem Send sms [number + text] Read Sms [number] Delete Sms [number] Answer received call make a Call [number,voice/data] make a call to a number data or voice) Hangup a call Query call status Status [parameter] get network information, sim card, power status... clear error led 6.2 Data from controller: Received sms notification [number in sim / phone memory] Received call notification [caller number] Error notification 7. output leds: There are 4 leds connected to the uC : Terminal sync (after resetting the terminal) Gsm network connected Serial data send/received Error (until clear command) 8. microchip pic pin out leds should be connected to port A pins 0-3 gsm terminal should be connected to Rx-RC7,Tx-RC6 9. Oscillator external 20mhz Crystal 10. basic controller operation 1. clear all old sms in phone and sim card memory 2. Reset terminal (enable sms and call notification ) 3. wait for external command OR new call OR new sms.
