I updated the project cost per our discussion via chat. This include adding the MicroSD module to save the RFID UID of the card to the microSD so that the system still works without the Internet connection for at least 4-5 days. My proposal for this project is: I use a 125kHz RFID reader module to read the RFID card. ESP8266 will connect directly to the RFID reader module and every time the reader receives an ID, the ESP will save into its EEPROM. The ESP will then connect to the Wifi and submit data to your web server (you need to make the webserver with the REST API to receive the data). In case ESP cannot connect to the Wifi AP, then the ESP will start as the AP mode and user can use their smart phone to connect to the ESP to setup the Wifi. If the ESP is in the AP mode, it will also show all available RFID info which is not submitted to the web server (once successfully submitted, the ESP will erase the info from its EEPROM. With this solution, you do not need the bluetooth module and will reduce cost. All you need is a smartphone with Wifi capability and then you can connect to the ESP and view the information with the web browser. I'm applying for this project since I have experience in both of these devices,RFID ans ESP wifi module. I have been working on both of devices recently so I'm confident on completing this project sucessfully. I also have seperate esp module to work with arduino and NodeMCU which can act as a standalone Arduino. I have worked with both the devices and own those to test the codea before sending to you. For experience in rfid readers I worked on rc522 module and been able to write a new library to use software spi in order to use any pin on arduino.
