Would like the chosen freelancer to build a DNS server that responds to NAPTR queries ONLY. It should have the ability to only allow connections from a predefined list of IP addresses (therefore it should always check connecting IP against a database) and it allow/disallow the connection. It should then check the query against a database and format the output so its according to RFC. here's an example of a query that will produce a successful output: dig -t naptr [login to view URL] You would be free to use any lightweight existing libraries or code. Here's some sample code that has almost everything i want -- except the SQL integration: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] or even this: [login to view URL]

Can do. I breath DNS and I eat RFC. - Must the have to respond only via 'dig' or do you need the data via another way? - Does the server have to do recursive checks? Do recursive caching? - Is there a need for filtering/manipulation trunks/protocols? If you can explain what your plans are I'm full of ideas to make your life easier.
